Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with extensive expertise in accounting and financial operations who thrives in dynamic environments. You will play a critical role in overseeing financial processes, implementing key projects, and ensuring operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Lead month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate on the implementation and optimization of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) software.
• Conduct detailed reconciliations and audits to maintain compliance and accuracy in financial records.
• Assist with wire transfer system enhancements and related financial operations.
• Supervise budget planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Generate comprehensive financial reports using tools such as Crystal Reports and CRM systems.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support decision-making and organizational development.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices within the financial services sector.
• Mentor and guide accounting team members to enhance overall departmental performance.• A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial management roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including FP& A tools and ADP Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger processes.
• Experience with budgeting, auditing, and reconciliation tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes efficiently.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports and CRM systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage and implement financial projects effectively.
