We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our dynamic and innovative global automotive team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and automation of critical mainframe applications supporting industry-leading automotive solutions. You will play a key role in enhancing system reliability, streamlining batch processes, and ensuring seamless integration across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Mainframe Development

Design, develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using PL/I, Cobol, REXX, and JCL.

Batch Job Scheduling & Monitoring:

Manage and monitor batch job processes using OPC/TWS, ezScheduler, and ezMonitor, ensuring timely and accurate execution.

Database Management:

Access and manage data in DB2 and PostgreSQL environments using tools like DBeaver.

Incident & Change Management:

Handle incidents, problems, and changes using ServiceNow. Ensure thorough documentation of procedures and solutions in Confluence.

Collaboration & Agile Practices:

Work collaboratively in a DevOps-oriented environment, tracking progress and requirements using Jira. Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

Proficiency in PL/I, Cobol, REXX, JCL

Experience with OPC/TWS, ezScheduler, ezMonitor

Solid understanding of DB2 and PostgreSQL databases

Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, Confluence, and Jira

Familiarity with tools like OpenText HostExplorer, SCMS, IBM Developer for z/OS, Innovator for Information Architects

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, DevOps-focused environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in the automotive domain

Knowledge of IT process frameworks such as SCRUM and ITIL

Excellent communication and documentation skills
