Job Title: ServiceNow Developer (5–7 Years’ Experience)

Reporting to: ServiceNow Platform Lead / ITSM Manager

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Role Summary

We are seeking a mid level ServiceNow Developer with 5–7 years of hands on experience designing, building, and optimizing ServiceNow applications and modules. You will collaborate with process owners, architects, and other developers to deliver scalable solutions that drive automation and service excellence across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Mapping & Event management and other enterprise workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Development

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

• Develop custom applications, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Flow Designer/IntegrationHub flows, and REST/SOAP integrations.

Platform Configuration & Administration

• Configure core modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB, Knowledge, Service Catalog).

• Maintain ACLs, data policies, transform maps, MID Servers, and Scheduled Jobs.

Integrations

• Design and implement secure integrations with on prem and SaaS systems using IntegrationHub, custom REST APIs, JDBC, and SSO (SAML/OIDC).

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Write and execute ATF tests; support UAT and regression cycles; resolve defects.

Agile Delivery & Documentation

• Participate in Scrum ceremonies; create technical documentation, release notes, and runbooks.

Performance & Governance

• Optimize scripts, queries, and table indexes; enforce coding standards and best practices.

Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide L3 support, root cause analysis, and post deployment hyper care.

Required Skills & Experience

5–7 years of dedicated development on the ServiceNow platform.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.

Demonstrated success delivering at least two major ServiceNow implementations or upgrades.

Experience with ITSM and at least one additional suite (e.g., ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, CSM).

Familiarity with CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, ServiceNow DevOps) and automated testing (ATF).

Working knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, Angular/React widgets, REST, JSON, XML).

Excellent problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex ideas.

Preferred/Bonus Qualifications

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and CSA/ITSM/ITOM certifications.

Exposure to ServiceNow AI Search, Now Experience UI Builder, or App Engine Studio.

Experience with Scoped App development and Service Portal theming.

Knowledge of ITIL v4 or Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, PMI ACP).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
