We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Lead/Manager to establish a procurement function for government contracting operations. The successful candidate will have 4+ years of procurement experience, strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and the ability to establish procurement processes and internal controls. This individual will operate effectively in a highly dynamic, fast-paced, and diverse environment, supporting multiple sites and business units.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

Lead the development and implementation of procurement processes, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and corporate policies

Ensure readiness for and compliance with DCMA Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) and related audit requirements

Conduct full-cycle procurement activities, including preparing RFQs, evaluating bids, and issuing purchase orders

Perform cost and price analysis for materials and services and maintain documentation to support audit compliance

Identify and qualify alternate and approved suppliers; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery to maximize value and compliance

Process Bills of Materials (BOMs) and coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Program Management to meet project timelines and technical requirements

Manage and maintain approved vendor lists to ensure suppliers meet government security and quality requirements

Monitor procurement schedules and open commitments, ensuring timely material delivery to support contract milestones

Collaborate across multiple sites and business units to consolidate needs and ensure alignment with strategic procurement goals

Participate in procurement audits and internal/external reviews; maintain procurement files and documentation in accordance with government standards

Continuously assess and improve procurement practices to increase efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance

We're looking for someone who has:

4+ years of procurement experience within a federal government contracting environment

Expert knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government procurement compliance.

Experience with DCMA audits, including Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR)

Demonstrated ability to establish and improve procurement processes and internal controls

Strong experience coordinating across multi-site operations and supporting diverse business needs

Proven capability in cost and price analysis, supplier negotiations, and schedule management

Proficiency in procurement and ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Oracle, Unanet)

Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills

Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Nice to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field

Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and other regulatory requirements

Prior experience in DoD, aerospace, or defense contracting environments

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.

Please reference the job posting’s subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $120,000 - $150,000 USD annually.
