About the position:
The Survey Coordinator/Survey Party Chief/Instrument Man is responsible for assisting the survey crew chief in conducting land surveys and measurements. This role involves setting up and operating surveying instruments, collecting data on land features, and preparing reports based on survey data. The position requires indoor/ outdoor work and collaboration with team members to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time
Responsibilities:
Lead field survey crews
Assist the survey crew chief in conducting land surveys and measurements
Set up and operate surveying instruments, such as total stations and GPS receivers
Collect data on land features, boundaries, and elevations
Perform calculations using trigonometry and other mathematical methods
Prepare sketches, maps, and reports based on survey data
Assist in the analysis of survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness
Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS software to process and interpret survey data
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Requirements:
Experience with GPS technology for surveying purposes
Ability to perform work outdoors in various weather conditions
Proficiency in data collection techniques and equipment operation
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS software for data processing and analysis
