The Shift Lead/Patrol has jurisdiction to the entire facility, perimeter fencing and plant property outside of the perimeter fencing. The Shift Lead/Patrol is responsible for overseeing the activities of the security shift which provides safety and protects all employees, visitors, contractors, and company assets. Supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries. Review staffing levels to maintain full coverage of posts. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities. Investigate incidents and/or facility complaints and compile data for accurate reporting.Requirements:

The Shift Lead/Patrol will be the first line of defense in a security breech. Report and investigate all suspicious activities such as unauthorized entrances, unauthorized/illegally parked/abandon vehicles. The Shift Lead/Patrol should use the following guidelines

· Report to assigned post for scheduled shift.

· Be on call for certain days and adhere to an on-call schedule.

· May be forced to work an additional shift for post coverage at any post.

· At the beginning of shift, the Security Officer Checklist outlines specific tasks that must be completed.

· Ensure all posts’ paperwork and weigh scale tickets are delivered to the Command Center.

· Enforces ATALCO’s policies as outlined in the manual and memos.

· Read the daily pass-on log and daily entries at the beginning of each shift.

· Ensure that all required documentation / paperwork is complete and properly maintained.

· Ensure all security personnel on his/her shift complete all post duties.

· Oversee the staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security guards assigned to his/her shift.

· Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision.

· Regular inspection of security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift.

· Observe and report suspicious people and activities on ATALCO property.

· Write incident reports and review shift incident reports for completion.

· Interact with local law enforcement agencies as required.

· If a situation requires immediate security attention, quickly respond to the location of the facility.

· Ensure officers perform vehicle inspections on all vehicles entering and exiting the plant.

· Ensure all vehicles entering and exiting the plant have a visible company decal/logo. No handwritten company names on vehicles shall be permitted. No exceptions.

· Direct parking lot traffic and issue parking violations. All violations must be recorded in Microsoft Teams under Security/General/Files/ “Parking Violations.”

· Assist with signing in visitors, vendors, and deliveries.

· Escort warehouse delivery drivers that do not possess a TWIC to the warehouse.

· The officer will conduct rounds in accordance with the patrol sheet and any specific areas designated by the supervisor.

· All rounds will be logged by Shift Lead/Patrol officer in the daily shift report and in the daily round sheet.

· Make entries on the Shift Lead Daily Report form. All incidents involving employees, visitors, contractors, or property must be properly notated.

· Report any unusual or out of the ordinary activity to the command post officer via PTT/cell phone. Your PTT/cell phone will be the primary means of communication. Any unusual incidents that occur must be documented on an incident report form and completed by the end of your shift.

· All perimeter gates are to be checked each round.

· Refuel all vehicles.

· Security truck will be washed at the end of each shift.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Training Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, plus a minimum of 2 years of Security Guard experience
