Job Summary

We are seeking a Skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic team . The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and repair of metal structures and frameworks. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively on construction sites.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Fabrication & Assembly: Accurately fabricate and assemble metal structures based on specifications and detailed blueprints.

Welding: Perform welding tasks utilizing multiple techniques, with a focus on FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and plasma cutting, to ensure high-quality, durable welds.

Tool & Machinery Operation: Effectively use hand tools and heavy machinery, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition and properly maintained.

Blueprint Interpretation: Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to guarantee precision in all work completed.

Compliance & Codes: Adhere to local, state, and federal construction codes and safety standards, ensuring all tasks meet industry regulations.

Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery on-site for material handling, positioning, and general construction operations.

Quality Control: Inspect completed work to verify its quality and ensure it meets project specifications, making any necessary adjustments.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople and contractors to promote efficient workflow and timely project completion.

Safety Practices: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following established safety protocols and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Metal Fabrication: Proficient in the fabrication of metal components, including cutting, shaping, and assembling structures using various methods.

Welding Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with welding techniques, especially FCAW, ensuring the strength and durability of welded joints.

Plasma Cutting: Familiarity with plasma cutting tools and techniques to efficiently cut metal according to project requirements.

Blueprint Interpretation: Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and detailed specifications to ensure precision and accuracy in construction.

Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of construction site safety practices, OSHA standards, and regulations, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Tool Proficiency: Competence in using a range of hand tools, including micrometers and other measuring instruments, to ensure precise measurements and high-quality craftsmanship.

Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments on-site to meet project goals.

Team-Oriented & Independent: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Additional Qualifications:

Prior experience in a similar role in the construction or manufacturing industry.

Valid certification or license for operating forklifts and other heavy machinery (preferred).

High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training or certifications in welding and fabrication is a plus).

Must Have 2 year minimum experience in Ironwork, not welding, to qualify for this position!
