A-Line Staffing is now hiring Operator 1, Packaging Operations in San Diego, CA.

The Operator 1, Packaging Operations would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full-time / 40+ hours per week.

Operator 1, Packaging Operations Compensation

The pay for this position is $25.00 per hour

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Operator 1, Packaging Operations Highlights

This position is a 6–12 month contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (1st shift)

Shift times may vary due to production demands; advanced notice will be provided

Work location: San Diego, CA 92126

In-person interviews required

Prescreening attachment required

COVID-19 vaccination or weekly testing may be required, based on location

Operator 1, Packaging Operations Responsibilities

Fill liquid antibodies into small vials using lab equipment such as pipettes, peristaltic pumps, and analytical balances

Perform packaging processes including labeling, bagging, and bottling using lab instrumentation

Meet daily/weekly/monthly production objectives efficiently and with high quality

Follow standard operating procedures and safety regulations (EH&S)

Use SAP and/or other database systems for packaging data entry

Handle and stage packaging materials, store/retrieve supplies as needed

Participate in daily shift start-up meetings and safety programs

Perform routine equipment cleaning and manage hazardous waste properly

Accurately document manufacturing activities and maintain inventory counts

Rotate tasks during large build orders for ergonomic safety

Work includes manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products

Work may involve standing for long periods and handling items up to 20–30 pounds

Operator 1, Packaging Operations Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of 6 months of industry work experience

Experience using pipettes, peristaltic pumps, analytical balances, and other lab/dispense equipment

Strong math skills, including metric conversions and volume calculations

Must be able to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision

Strong attention to detail and good documentation practices

Ability to work in a team environment and flexible work schedule including overtime

Familiarity with basic computer software

Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Preferred Qualifications

Science and/or manufacturing background preferred

Proficient at learning new methods and adapting to different tasks

Good written and verbal communication skills
