TMD Staffing is looking to hire Welder Helpers in the 77041 area!

WORK ENVIRONMENT

In-Person, Outside

RESPONSIBILITIES

The helper is responsible for general grinding and cleaning of material. Helpers are also responsible for keeping the workshop area clean. Helpers will be asked to do various duties as per requirements from the Workshop Supervisor or TL.

Assist Welders and Fitter in Fabrication.

Assist in the preparation of material for Welding and Cutting or grinding using Pipe Cutters, hammers and Chisel, cutting and /or grinder etc.

Follow oral and written direction as required by management, and perform all other related tasks as assigned from time to time.

Take care of all workshop equipment/tools and report immediately any malfunctioning equipment.

Shows a basic understanding of workshop fabrications tasks practiced at the company.

Move, locate, Relocate, stack, and Store company goods like Pipes, Materials, etc. to the desired locations.

Load and unload shipments safely.

Operate all equipment/tools in a safe and efficient manner.

Perform Physical Picking and Checking duties.

Assist in the checking of material received and report any discrepancy.

Assist in Stock Taking.

Observe and follow all safety regulations and report all accidents and near misses.

Comply with all relevant health, safety, environmental, quality, legal and regulatory requirements as stipulated by company requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

0 - 2 years of relevant experience

PAY RATE

$18-20/hour

SCHEDULE

Monday to Friday: 10 hours per day, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Saturday: 8 hours, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
