SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Technical Writer reports to the QEHS Manager to support our facility by developing, standardizing, updating, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Job Safety Analysis, and Training Materials as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive WI, SOPs, JSAs, and other technical documents from plant representatives for review and editing.
Review processes in depth to ensure compliance to current instructions.
Ensure documentation is clear, concise, and formatted consistently before publication.
Validate content accuracy by working with subject matter experts (SMEs) in manufacturing, engineering, safety, and quality.
Maintain document version control and ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and company policies.
Develop, write, and edit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fiberglass and assembly manufacturing processes, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Create and maintain Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) in collaboration with Safety and Operations teams to enhance workplace safety.
Develop training manuals, work instructions, and reference guides for shop floor employees.
Work closely with Training, Technical Teams, Quality, and Safety Leadership to ensure training materials and SOPs support operational needs.
Continuously improve documentation based on employee feedback, regulatory updates, and process changes.
Incorporate visual elements such as diagrams, process flowcharts, and images to enhance clarity and usability.
Assess and optimize systems and processes for efficiency, implementing improvements as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fiberglass manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and regulatory standards (OSHA, ISO, etc.) is an asset
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
