GPD is currently seeking an Entry-Level Architectural Designer for our Columbus, OH office location to support the Federal practice.

The ideal candidate will possess:
Architectural Designer with 2-5 years of experience in a supporting architectural design role on projects throughout all phases on the project. Co-op experience acceptable.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Master’s degree in Architecture preferred.
Experience in development of design documents through schematic design, design development, developing construction documents and specifications, and supporting projects through construction administration.
Experience in a variety of project types preferred but not required.
Revit/BIM experience required.
Experienced and comfortable working directly with the project architect to provide timely updates on project status, discussing project scope, coordinating with other design disciplines.
Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices and in various disciplines.
Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
Candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Some travel may be required.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Responsibilities will include:
Architectural design and documentation of various project types responsibilities include supporting the project architect with code research, programming, design, documentation, specifications, and construction administration including field visits to projects.
May be required to research agency standards and requirements for design compliance.
Researching design solutions and industry best practices.
Coordination with all disciplines of design including our in house engineers, designers, and renderers.
Building Assessments and Building Surveys
Project documentation/administration.
Construction administration.
