Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Lead Lease Analyst (Mineral) reporting to the Corporate Land Manager. The Lead Lease Analyst will lead a team of Mineral Lease Analysts and provide guidance and support to the Land and Land Administration staff. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills as well as an understanding of land management systems, lease analysis, accurate data entry, tracting leases and auditing data as well as a general understanding of geological principles, operations, reservoir engineering and basin/resource plays.
General Responsibilities
Analyze various forms, including complex title, lease and contract documentation to maintain company ownership and obligations
Create, maintain, and update new and existing lease record information in the Land system and applications to ensure accuracy and data integrity
Manage a busy area of responsibility working directly with mineral and surface Land, Engineering, Geology and Accounting
Ensure timely and accurate payment of extensions, rentals, shut-in payments and minimum royalties for area of responsibility
Interpret and administer complex Texas and New Mexico lease forms to ensure the administration of provisions such as continuous drilling obligations, separate lease language, retained acreage, shallow and deep pugh clauses
Assist Land with special projects, data requests, due diligence and company acquisitions and divestitures
Utilize GIS tools to review, audit and understand details of area of responsibility
Perform query writing and/or create ad hoc queries utilizing QQM, Sequel or Spotfire to build data audits for consistency and accuracy
Add and maintain all cross references to leases and contracts
Implement new technology and workflow ideas within the lease records department
Lead team of internal lease analyst, along with manage outside contractors
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years working as a Lease Analyst is required
Must have Texas and New Mexico experience
Strongly skilled in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Must have a strong understanding of Quorum Land
Ability to work in a fast paced, energetic environment with the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize heavy workloads
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, information and work with all levels of the organization
Excellent organizational, time management and leadership skills
Must be comfortable with collaborative problem solving
Team player who enjoys contributing to team goals
Preferred Qualifications
Post-secondary education is preferred
Permian Basin experience is preferred
Ad hoc query skills preferred
