VP of Engineering

Great Client seeking a VP of Engineering. This role will need to wear many hats and need to still be hands-on with design work.

Engineering Department Leadership:

Manage and supervise the engineering team, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and standardization. Oversee project management and maintain strong customer relations, focusing on scheduling and budgeting. Departmental Growth:

Support sales and marketing efforts to develop new customers. Provide application engineering expertise and budget estimates for project proposals. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.

At least five years of experience in machine design or similar fields.

Proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with drafting standards and configuration management.

A minimum of five years in program or project management. Role Expectations:

Initially, focus on understanding departmental operations before implementing changes.

Aim to transform the role into a profit center by attracting new customers and ensuring high-quality engineering work.

Potential for advancement to General Manager in the future. Technical Focus:

The company specializes in moderately complex, single-machine designs, typically completing three machines annually. A strong background in machine design and expertise in SolidWorks are essential. Project Management:

Responsibilities include writing proposals, acting as the primary contact during project kickoffs, managing design and design reviews, and coordinating with regulatory requirements. Work Schedule:

This is a 100% on-site position with a standard eight-hour workday, offering flexibility in start and end times. Compensation: $150K-$180K Salary
