Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Global Controller will provide management and financial oversight of theglobal manufacturing operations. This senior controllership role is responsible for serving as the finance partner for the company. This individual will manage the global operating finance teams, including both general accounting and shared services processing, and will implement best practices, drive efficiencies, and ensure the integrity of financial systems and reporting across the company. This individual will be a key member of the senior finance team with input into development of business process, controls, and investment in improved IT systems. The individual must be proactive and gain a detailed understanding of the business and underlying drivers that impact results. The position involves detailed analysis and oversight of metrics and KPI’s. This individual will also support the preparation of Budget and forecasts and analysis of variances as well as business financial analysis and support for key operating decisions.

Responsibilities

Supporting the entire accounting and shared service function by establishing efficient business process, reporting, oversight and decision support.

Implementing robust business process and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting across the organization.

Provide leadership to the Shared Services function responsible for payroll, disbursements, and collections with a focus on optimizing working capital and driving initiatives to maximize entity wide free cash flow.

Coordinating with the IT team and operations to implement leading financial and operating ERP systems and supporting business process.

Support and provide strategic direction to cost accounting team ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory costing across the organization

Lead preparation of monthly balance sheet and cash flow.

Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review and analyze financial information and forecasts.

Serve as technical accounting resource providing direction as to the treatment of complex accounting topics including acquisition accounting, debt modifications, and foreign currency matters.

Analyzing historical financial data, predicting future results, and driving reporting and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Strong finance and accounting background combined with excellent analytical skills.

10+ years’ experience in finance/controllership roles in a manufacturing environment. Technology intensive, medical device, or pharma industry experience desired.

Strategic thinking focused on improving business operations.

Demonstrated ability to manage in a complex multi-national environment

Mix between large, global company experience balanced with smaller “rolling up sleeves” business unit/company experience ideal.

Hands-on approach and creative thinker.

Leadership of general accounting, shared services, and cost accounting functions, including implementation of process improvements.

Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies.

Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines.

Demonstrates successfully working in extremely fast-paced environment.

Ability to travel 25% on a regular basis depending on what is happening at the company such as an acquisition.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the medical products industry a plus.

Private equity experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline.

MBA beneficial but not required.

Physical Demands

Ability to work long hours when necessary and to have a presence with a 24/7 operation.

Regular travel to acquisition targets, industry meetings and corporate meetings.

International travel required on occasion to support the needs of the business.
