The Functional Analyst serves as the process manager for the daily import and export of data files in and out of the Student Information System (SIS), supporting the integration of various auxiliary systems including the United States Naval Community College (USNCC) and Follett Bookstore. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of health insurance charges, manages third-party contracts and veteran benefits imports, and oversees the configuration of service indicators and checklists on a term-by-term basis.
The Functional Analyst also supports the delivery of student tuition assistance through system integrations with third-party billing platforms (Air Force, Boeing, RTX), provides technical support, and troubleshoots software-related issues. This position is also responsible for monthly posting of late fees, reconciliation and analysis tasks, and ensuring smooth communication between IT and end users during system maintenance, upgrades, and testing cycles.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage daily file imports/exports between SIS and auxiliary systems (e.g., USNCC, Follett).
Monitor health insurance charge processing and resolve discrepancies with relevant departments.
Maintain and manage third-party billing contracts and upload Veteran’s Affairs payment files.
Configure and update term-based service indicators and checklist requirements.
Oversee tuition assistance processes through multiple third-party software applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to centralized billing software (Air Force, Boeing, RTX).
Post monthly late fees for students with outstanding account balances.
Support system reconciliation, data analysis, and manipulation using Microsoft Office tools.
Act as liaison between Information Technology and end users for issue resolution and enhancement requests.
Coordinate system configuration, testing, and implementation of updates, patches, and upgrades throughout the fiscal year.

Qualifications
Required Education:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, write information, and complete simple forms.
Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
A formal diploma, certificate, or degree program is a plus, but not required.
