Field Service Engineer Summary
We are seeking a Field Service Engineers to be responsible for the planning and coordinating the onsite activities and integrating customer requirements to safeguard the company's commercial position.
Field Service Engineer Responsibilities
Initiate the commercial operation of large medium speed gas and diesel engines and associated equipment installed in the U.S.A, Canada, and Mexico and render specific customer support services
Coordinate and supervise the overhaul and start up of engine and generator sets
Coordinate and supervise the field testing
Assist in the preparation of work-scopes for any repair work, overhauls, and re-rating
Troubleshoot and resolve the technical problems involving compressor anti-surge controls, speed controls and any other system, such as vibration monitoring associated with our machinery
Provide job-site training and in-house training for other Commissioning Engineers on local staff or within North American region
Provide support for project management teams such as technical advice
Interface with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Mechanical engineers, Service Engineers, and Technicians for the overhauls
Implement approved design changes modifications that may be required to bring the product up to specification. Field Service Commissioning Engineer Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university; or ten or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with medium speed, European engine overhauls (Wartsila, MAN, MaK, etc.) #LI-Onsite
