Job Description

The Environmental Permitting Manager - West will be responsible for:

Lead environmental planning and permitting efforts across a portfolio of renewable energy projects, from site evaluation through construction and operations.

Oversee the preparation and submission of environmental documents.

Serve as the primary point of contact with permitting agencies and regulatory bodies across multiple jurisdictions.

Manage and mentor a small internal team and coordinate third-party environmental consultants.

Support due diligence for new project opportunities, including greenfield development and acquisitions.

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal development, engineering, and stakeholder engagement teams.

Monitor changes in environmental policy and regulation to ensure ongoing compliance and proactive risk management.

Represent the organization in public meetings, hearings, and with key external stakeholders.

Manage environmental budgets, timelines, and consultant contracts across project portfolios.

Bachelors Degree is required. The Successful Applicant

The Environmental Permitting Manager - West will have

Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental permitting and compliance for energy projects.

Deep knowledge of U.S. regulations - state/provincial and federal permitting processes for the West Region (NEPA, CEPA. etc..)

Experience coordinating with state environmental agencies and local planning boards.

Strong leadership and project management skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Familiarity with GIS and environmental analysis tools.

$120,000 - $150,000 base salary
