POSITIONSUMMARY:

The Clinical Coordinator andStudent Support Specialist provides all 100, 200 and entry level 500 levelteaching and skills preparation for the undergraduate and post-baccalaureatePre-Medical and Health Professions certificate program. These courses consist of multiple sectionsthat meet for just one hour/week for each section depending on student cohortsize. All courses are "0" credit withthe exception of one "1" credit medical terminology course. The Clinical Coordinator also contributes tocareer mentoring and application support. This position is the PMHPP admissions representative on-campusparticipating in admissions meetings, meeting with interested undergraduatestudents and families, and representing the PMHPP at recruiting events, both onand off-campus. The qualified applicantmust possess excellent communication, organization, multitasking, customerservice, flexibility, and team work skills with the ability to work in afast-paced environment. This position isan integral part of the PMHPP team.

Thisposition reports to the Director of the Pre-Medical and Health ProfessionsProgram.

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides non-tenure track clinicalskills instruction for PMHP 101, 102, 103, 201, 203, 205/PBPM 509/510, and PBPM501, 503.

Trackingstudent training compliance within all PMHPP courses.

Courseassessment and updating, contributing to the curriculum, and particularly topost-baccalaureate curriculum customization with each new cohort.

Engagingin professional development to foster continuous improvement as an instructor,and be up-to-date with all clinical skills and certifications.

Actsas the PMHPP Admissions representative on-campus, and acts as liaison to theSchools

Overseeswork of Graduate Assistant who offers teaching support for PMHPP courses.

Assistswith the coordination of recruitment and support of the PMHPP StudentAmbassadors.

Participatesin recruiting events, both on and off campus, as the PMHPP representative.

Meetswith interested students and families to discuss the PMHPP, and answerquestions.

Providescareer mentoring and support to all PMHPP students.

Works as part of the PMHPP team to achievesuccessful PMHPP outcomes related to the mission of the PMHPP and University.

Completes otherduties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accreditedinstitution.

5+years of customer service experience

Proficiencyin entry-level clinical health care and medical terminology

Demonstratedunderstanding of health care systems, collaborative practice, interprofessionaleducation, and evidence-based practice

Abilityto work well with students by creating a supportive and appropriately rigorouslearning environment; availability to PMHPP students outside of class

Exceptionalcommunication skills and demonstrated abilities to model appropriatemedical/health professional behaviors

Abilityto work as part of a team and to network with other academic units andstudent-facing offices to serve PMHPP students and achieve PMHPP goals

Thisposition may require the occasional evening or weekend work for class orrecruiting event.
