Job Title: Inventory Lead/Shipping Lead

Job Description

As an Inventory Lead, you will play a crucial role in facilitating seamless communication between the operations manager and warehouse associates, ensuring efficient coordination and execution of shipping and receiving tasks. You will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of shipping and receiving tallies and completing necessary paperwork, while also serving as the primary trainer for new associates and personnel.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute shipping and receiving work orders in the warehouse.

Communicate directly between operations manager and warehouse associates.

Verify shipping and receiving tallies for accuracy and complete necessary paperwork.

Train new associates, leads, and hourly personnel.

Direct shipping and receiving clerks to achieve objectives.

Apply sound communication and motivational techniques.

Record start and stop times on work orders for production evaluation.

Allocate equipment to jobs and associates under the direction of the operations manager.

Collaborate closely with customer service and desk clerk to meet customer expectations.

Prioritize and coordinate work based on input from operations manager and desk clerk.

Ensure compliance with company rules, policies, and safety regulations.Essential Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software and basic typing skills.

Ability to operate the facility’s Warehouse Management System.

Three or more years of related Warehousing & Distribution experience.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to gather and analyze information.

Effective oral communication skills and ability to participate in meetings.

Teamwork skills to contribute to building a positive team spirit.

Strategic thinking to adapt strategies to changing conditions.

Planning and organizing skills to prioritize work activities efficiently.

Quality-focused to promote accuracy and thoroughness in work.

Adaptability to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.

Dependability in following instructions and responding to management direction.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of material handling, inventory control, and cycle counts.

Experience with data entry, shipping and receiving processes.

Familiarity with SAP and ERP systems.

Skills in inventory management, labeling, and warehouse inventory.

Work Environment

The role involves physical demands such as standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 100 pounds, with assistance available when needed. The work environment can be loud, with large temperature fluctuations that change seasonally. Shift options include A Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), B Shift (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM), and C Shift (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM), with future options for four ten-hour shifts Monday through Thursday or Friday through Sunday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, Georgia.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
