Job Title: Mig Welder

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Mig Welders to perform welding duties using wire welding GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), or SMAW (Stick Welding). You will be responsible for welding steel components using welding equipment as specified by procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions. The tasks range from simple tacks to complex welds in varying positions, with a focus on flat butt and vertical up welds. Working in pairs, you will fabricate the chassis in the weld out area, preparing it for sandblasting and further assembly.

Responsibilities

Perform setup and layout of work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and equipment products.

Operate and use related equipment and tools including forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, tape measures, and Air Arc.

Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements and following manufacturer instructions.

Troubleshoot malfunctions, call for repairs, and complete daily check sheets.

Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures.Essential Skills

Minimum of 6 months welding experience or recent graduation from LMC Weld Program.

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Competency in reading and working off blueprints.Additional Skills & Qualifications

AWS Certification is a plus.

Knowledge of blueprints and weld symbols is desirable.

Background in vocational school, industrial trades, or welding technology.Work Environment

This role operates on the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with potential overtime extending to 3:30 pm.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
