2nd and 3rd Shift Opportunities

MUST be willing to train on 1st shift

Pay Range: $18-$24/hr based on experience

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled machine operators to join our expanding team, working across the 2nd and 3rd shifts. With a comprehensive 4-6 weeks training on the 1st shift, you will operate machinery that processes wire to customer specifications, including coating and sealing. Our wire products are primarily used for staples and fine wire brushes.

Responsibilities

Operate digital controlled respooling machinery and auxiliary equipment to produce quality products meeting customer expectations and production goals.

Change machinery over from one product or package to another and perform quality welds using the appropriate butt welder.

Conduct Preventative Maintenance on all production and support equipment as assigned.

Operate machinery efficiently and maintain accurate production and quality records.

Understand product quality, delivery, and scrap measurements.

Follow all Safety Procedures and policies, wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Keep work area clean and organized for subsequent operators.

Take and pass OSHA approved Forklift Training; operating a forklift is essential.

Adjust equipment for optimal operation with guidance from management and production supervisors.

Participate in training, employee meetings, committees, and project teams.

Troubleshoot problems using standard problem-solving methods and assist support personnel in resolving issues.

Capable of pushing, pulling, rolling items, and lifting 70 pounds regularly.Essential Skills

Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.

Industrial facility experience with machine or production experience for at least two years.

Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.

Troubleshoot problems using standard problem-solving methods.

Apply common sense methods when performing written or oral instructions.

Capability to perform physical demands such as lifting 70 pounds regularly.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Technical school education is a plus.

Willingness to learn how to read tape measures, micrometers, and calipers using the metric system.

Perform simple calculations in your head and use a calculator for more complex mathematics.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our facility comprises roughly 12-15 employees on the 1st shift, including maintenance, and about 3-4 employees on the 2nd shift. Despite being a smaller shop, we maintain a clean and organized manufacturing environment where safety is a priority. Safety-toed shoes and ear protection are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $49920.00/yr.
