Job Title: Mold Setter

Job Description

This position is responsible for starting presses, answering operator call lights, and assisting with shift setup when needed. You will ensure each job is properly set up before the production run begins and may act as a backup supervisor when the shift supervisor is unavailable. The role involves ensuring machine efficiency and shift utilization by promptly setting and processing molds, as well as maintaining proper operation methods, processing, communication, documentation, and defect identification. You will also perform basic maintenance on machines and make necessary adjustments to machines for production, considering engineering and quality guidelines, customer requirements, and machine capability.

Responsibilities

Review schedule for upcoming jobs.

State and/or confirm tools are ready for upcoming changes.

Complete mold changes per Mattec and start up (2 mold changes per shift). Must wear a hard hat and lock out machines.

Confirm the cycle is running to standard. If not, notify the supervisor.

Complete start-up paperwork and submit the first shot to the Quality Leader.

Once setup is complete, clean and organize the machine area: waterlines, airlines, clamps, bolts, etc.

Ensure molds are placed back in the racks.

Complete daily mold maintenance sheets and PCL's.

Answer alarms and troubleshoot as needed.

Perform daily audits to ensure setup verifications, process adjustment logs, and other necessary documents are completed as specified.

Maintain proper operation methods, processing, communication, documentation, and defect identification.

Make necessary adjustments to machines for production with consideration of engineering and quality guidelines, customer requirements, and machine capability.

Set tools following established processes as needed.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a pristine, climate-controlled plant that is open and spacious, accommodating roughly 200 people. Join a team of four on the 2nd shift, working from 2:45 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The team consists of two process technicians and one in training.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
