Details for Mechanic (Plumbing/HVAC) position:

· Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm; occasional evenings and weekends

· Full-Time Temp-to-Hire

Job Duties for Mechanic (Plumbing/HVAC):

· Prepare, install, and service by repairing plumbing, piping, duct systems, and HVAC systems independently or with apprentices, including demolition, material prep, and equipment installation

· Evaluate work via construction documents and drawings, generate material takeoffs, track stock, enforce safety policies, and maintain certifications/code compliance

· Operate machinery/tools safely (forklifts, aerial platforms, power tools), manage company assets, and assist documentation using electronic devices

· Assume responsibility for company-issued assets such as PPE, vehicles, tools, and equipment, and keep those items securely stored when not in use

· Keep track of material and equipment stock, and communicate needs to supervisor(s) to ensure steady job productivity

· Keep a tidy work environment free of debris and unnecessary clutter

· Maintain any certifications or licensure that qualify the individual for employment as a Mechanic

· Follow all policies and safety procedures in place

· Completes any other related tasks as needed

Qualifications for Mechanic (Plumbing/HVAC):

· Trade school certification in HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, automated control systems, or another related field

· Two (2) or more years of work experience in commercial or industrial mechanical construction

· Certifications and Licenses

· Familiar with codes and regulations

· Wear PPE as required

· Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs

· Ability to work in fluctuating weather (temperature and precipitation)

· Vision requirements: Close, distance, color, peripheral vision; depth perception and focus adjustment

· Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach
