Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a CNC Machinist, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient production by setting up and operating a range of CNC equipment, including turning machines and both vertical and horizontal machining centers. Responsibilities

Read blueprints and follow specific instructions and procedures.

Organize, prioritize, and plan daily work assignments in a self-directed changing environment.

Utilize shop math knowledge effectively.

Proficiently use measuring equipment such as height gauges, micrometers, and calipers.

Understand metal-cutting applications and machine practices.

Handle piece parts ranging in weight from 1lb. to 25 lbs.

Deburr and clean parts using various hand and power tools such as a belt sander or drill press.

Inspect parts visually and using various measurement tools such as height gauges, micrometers, and calipers.Essential Skills

6 - 10 years of CNC machining experience.

2 - 3+ years of CNC setup experience using Fanuc controls.

Experience with Mazak, Okuma, or Haas machines.

Mill experience and blueprint proficiency.

Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.

High School Diploma or GED.Additional Skills & Qualifications

CNC vocational schooling.

Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Experience with both lathe and mill CNC machines.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a brand new, climate-controlled facility in Palatine. The environment is designed for comfort and efficiency, ensuring a productive workspace for all employees. The position is 2nd shift: 4:30pm - 1am with 5-10 hours of overtime on average, including some Saturdays which are not mandatory.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palatine, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00/hr.
