Position Details:

Hourly Base Rate: $39.90-$62.42

Shift Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week

Job Summary:

Organizes and directs the daily activities of the blood bank.

Responsible for supervising blood bank personnel, conducting and overseeing quality assurance and control.

Create and implement competencies, as well as train new employees and students.

Familiar with the field's concepts, practices, regulations, and procedures to ensure section and operating procedures remain current.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks.

Typically reports to the Laboratory Director and Supervisor.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have at least 3 years of previous MLS/MLT technical experience in a clinical laboratory.

Current MLS certification.

The position requires ASCP SBB certification upon hire or within six months of hire.
