Aerotek's client is looking for a General Laborer to join their team in the Manassas, VA area
The General Laborer will be responsible for driving automobiles between the vehicle reception area and the automobile carriers. This role requires strict adherence to corporate policies, health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
Operate the vehicle ramp to permit vehicle loading and unloading to both levels of the bi-level vehicle carriers.
Ensure the placement and removal of protective materials.
Drive vehicles onto the carriers and upon arrival, drive them to the reception area.
Load and unload motorcycles onto Amtrak-furnished carts and tow the carts on and off vehicle carriers.
Assist Chockers in the precise positioning of automobiles within the vehicle carriers.
Wear and use required protective equipment while working.
Take responsibility for personal safety while on the job.
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills).
Valid driver's license.
Proficiency in operating all types of vehicles.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
Capacity to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call.
Ability to work outdoors in inclement conditions.
Successful completion of a pre-employment screening process.

Work Environment
Work at a rail car station with shifts from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Be prepared to work outdoors under various weather conditions and wear protective equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
