Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Traveling Cable Technician to join our growing team. This role involves traveling to various job sites across the country to install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling systems. Key Responsibilities:
Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
Perform cable testing, labeling, and documentation.
Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
Mount and install network racks, patch panels, and cable trays.
Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites.
Adhere to safety standards and company protocols.
Travel extensively to support projects nationwide.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1–2 years of experience in low-voltage cabling or structured cabling systems.
Familiarity with BICSI standards is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
