A local client seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Specialist / Help Desk professional to join our team in Hayward, CA. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for technical support within the organization, working closely with external IT consultants to ensure smooth and secure operation of all IT systems. Key Responsibilities:

-Technical Support: Provide timely and effective support to end-users via phone, email, and chat for hardware, software, network, and mobile device issues.

-Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems, both remotely and on-site, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.

-Help Desk Management: Monitor and document support tickets, ensuring accurate records and timely resolution in collaboration with IT consultants.

-System Maintenance: Assist with routine maintenance, including software updates, backups, and security patches.

-User Training: Conduct training sessions and provide guidance on software use, IT policies, and security best practices.

-Hardware & Software Deployment: Support the setup and configuration of new systems and upgrades for employees.

-Network Support: Assist in resolving network connectivity issues and support basic network administration tasks.

-Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles to support end-user self-service.

-Asset Management: Track IT assets, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with software licensing.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

-Minimum 2 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.

-At least 2 years of hands-on experience with server administration.

-Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office 365, networking fundamentals, and VoIP systems.

-Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools.

-Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

-Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset.

-Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
