Job Description
CLIENT RELATIONS
Greet clients and pets, ensure a comfortable waiting area, and provide exceptional customer service.
SCHEDULING & COMMUNICATION
Manage appointment scheduling, answer phones, relay information between clients and staff, handle appointment reminders.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Process payments, handle billing, and assist with financial questions.
RECORD KEEPING
Maintaining accurate patient records, update client information, and prepare necessary forms for appointments, inventory management.
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
May assist with ordering supplies, cleaning the reception area, cleaning the clinic at the end of the day
CLINICAL CARE
Assisting veterinarians with examinations, administering medications and vaccines, and providing nursing card for hospitalized animals.
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES
Performing laboratory tests (urinalysis, blood draws, fecal exams, taking x-rays, and assisting with other diagnostics.
SURGICIAL ASSISTANCE
Preparing animals and instruments for surgery, assisting during surgical procedures, and monitoring animals under anesthesia.
PATIENT MONITORING
Monitoring vital signs, administering anesthesia and analgesics, and providing post-operative care.
CLIENT EDUCATION
Communicating with pet owners about their animals health, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
TEAMWORK AND COLLABORATION
Collaborating with other veterinary staff members to provide comprehensive care for animals.
