Job Title: Structural Steel Fabrication Quality Control Inspector
Pay: $30–$35 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector for our structural steel fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel fabrication, a keen eye for detail, and a current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect structural steel components during and after fabrication to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes
Verify welds, dimensions, and material certifications
Review and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings
Complete and maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation
Work closely with shop personnel to address and correct any quality issues
Ensure adherence to all safety and quality control standards
Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience working with a structural steel fabricator
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
Strong understanding of welding practices, structural steel standards, and fabrication processes
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
Detail-oriented with strong communication and documentation skills
