Job Description
Position Summary
Responsible for the technical product tests, process checks and audits to ensure compliance with company process, product quality and safety standards.
Essential Position Functions and Duties
Perform daily pre-operational inspection of equipment (ATP and environmental swabbing).
Conduct routine analysis testing for each batch and hourly finished product samples. Give batch adjustments when batch does not meet specifications. 60% lab testing.
Conduct product quality checks on production line (packaging and case integrity, label and date code accuracy, seals, fill weights, cap torque removal). 40% production floor testing.
Collect finished product samples for retain, control, customer and micro testing.
Handle proper use and care of instruments and equipment, including daily and weekly calibrations.
Complete all daily documentation on a timely manner; enter analytical data into WIN SPC database.
Place non-conforming product on hold.
Conduct weekly plant GMP inspections
File ingredient COA's and organize daily QA/production documents.
Support overtime and shift coverage as requested.
All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
High school diploma
Minimum 1 year of experience as a quality control technician
Knowledge: Basic computer skills and Microsoft Excel -intermediate proficiency
English Language (Speaking/listening/written instructions and procedures); Spanish a plus
Knowledge: operating lab equipment, reading test results.
Skills: Reading comprehension, active listening, speaking, writing, attention to details, use independent judgment to make decisions, problem solving, coordination, service orientation, multitasking, teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies
High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in science a plus
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a quality control technician
Knowledge: Basic computer skills and Microsoft Excel-intermediate proficiency, WIN SPC.
Knowledge: operating lab equipment, reading test results.

Expected Working Hours
This is a full-time position, and basic hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends. Hours depending on shift.
Work Environment
This job operates in a laboratory and plant environment. This role routinely uses lab equipment. Room temperature may vary.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk and stand. This is largely a physical role and fast pace. This would require the ability to push, pull, grasp, reach, stoop, squat, kneel, climb. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Must be physically fit to handle minor exposures to strong and diluted chemical solutions. Must wear a lab coat, skid-resistant closed toed safety footwear, hearing protection, safety eye protectors and acid resistant gloves when needed.
