About the Position:
We are currently seeking a Lead Fence Installer to join our growing team. This is a physically demanding, hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising and working alongside a small crew (1–2 helpers) to install a variety of fence types, including aluminum, chain link, PVC, and wood. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys outdoor labor, has a strong work ethic, and takes pride in delivering quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise a crew of 1–2 helpers on-site to complete fencing jobs safely, efficiently, and according to company standards
Perform hands-on installation tasks including:
Digging holes and trenches
Grading fence lines
Setting posts and mixing/pouring concrete
Installing fence panels and fittings
Hanging and stretching wire
Assembling and installing gates
General job site cleanup and debris removal
Operate power tools (saws, augers, drills, nail guns, post hole diggers) safely and effectively
Load and unload trucks; ensure materials and equipment are secured and complete for each job
Read and interpret blueprints, site drawings, and job plans to anticipate delays or challenges
Maintain safety protocols and enforce job site cleanliness and organization
Communicate professionally with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any issues
Apply problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and adjust installations as needed
Ensure all work meets contract specifications and company quality standards
Accurately measure and layout project components using a tape measure
Work in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold
Qualifications:
Supervisory or lead role
Experience in construction
Knowledge of installing various fence types: wood, vinyl (PVC), aluminum, chain link
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Ability to lift 50–80 lbs regularly and perform strenuous physical labor
Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Proficiency in reading plans, measuring, and laying out fence lines
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (required)
Strong communication and customer service skills
