GENERAL DESCRIPTION:rnrnReceives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an aviation hangar.
The Tools and Parts Attendant does the following keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools, prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed, unpacks and stores new equipment; visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defectsrnrnDUTIES:rnrnMaintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned manually or using a computerrnLocate lost or misplaced tools and equipmentrnPrepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using a computerrnReceives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment and requisitions stock to replenish inventoryrnInspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer, and reports damage or ear to supervisorsrnRepairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipmentrnMay deliver tools or equipment to works, manually or using handtruck.rnMay mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking toolrnReconciles activity records for monthly and quarterly reporting and status reviews.
rnProcesses data inquiry and manager referred listings and cards.
rnManages controlled, critical and reserve stocks and operational readiness floats.
rnMust demonstrate knowledge of military technical manuals and able to qualify for equipment operators license.rnOther duties as assignedrnrnEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:rnrnMust have at least three years of related experience in Supply Logistics.rnExperience with current Army STAMIS preferredrnMust have strong written and verbal communication skillsrnMust be a US CitizenrnMust have or be able to obtain a Secret ClearancernProficiency in MS Office Suite as well as Costpoint is requiredrnExperience with TcMax or other tool control software desired.rnWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.rnrnPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:rnTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
