Position Purpose
The goal of this position is to support the Assistant Vice President, Operations Support, in identifying, planning, and executing plans and solutions to improve service levels and operational efficiencies via process or technology change, resolve ad hoc system operational issues, and produce system, procedural, and related documentation and artifacts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Come to be a business systems subject matter expert by understanding and staying well-informed of operational procedures and business use cases for system functions.
Continuously search for and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiencies and/or cost reductions via process or technology change.
Consult or collaborate with executives and managers to develop, implement and manage system and process change throughout operations.
Participates in pre-deployment testing and post-deployment implementation and monitoring of newly developed system features.
Document current and new system processes and workflows.
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for ongoing optimization.
Support daily operations by resolving timely, accurately, efficiently and completely day-to-day operational system and data issues.
Support new client implementation process and knowledge management activities by creating and revising effective systems and procedural documentation and artifacts.
The performance of the Business Systems Analyst will be evaluated based on his/her effectiveness in meeting the following KPIs on an ongoing basis:
Innovation & Improvement Initiatives: Number of projects completed on time and within scope aiming for a compliance rate of 100%.
Project Success Rate: Effectiveness and impact of project or feature change. Stakeholder needs were met with little to no rework due to missing business requirements or processes.
Documentation: Number of documents and artifacts produced.
Issue Resolution Rate: Percentage of ad hoc system operational issues resolved independently 90% of the time.

Qualifications
To be successful in this position, the Business Systems Analyst must be able to perform each essential function. The requirements below represent the knowledge, qualifications, and competencies required for this position.
Education Requirements
4-year college degree is preferred
Experience/Knowledge
At least 5 years of previous similar work experience in IT, project management, or other related fields preferred
PMP certification preferred
Proficiency in business process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN)
Strong understanding of business process analysis methodologies
Basic knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages preferred
Experience working with various software applications and systems (e.g., ERP, CRM)
Physical Requirements
Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods, often up to 8 hours a day, since most of the work is performed at a desk using a computer.
Typing and Computer Use: Frequent use of a computer keyboard and mouse. This requires good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to type quickly and accurately.
Vision: Ability to read and interpret data on a computer screen, including reading small print, using a computer monitor for extended periods.
