Technical & Machine Parts Buyer

Job Description

Delta Group is a leading high-tech manufacturer specializing in precision machining and fabrication. We are looking for an experienced and driven Technical & Machine Parts Buyer to join our growing operations team. This role is crucial in supporting our production and maintenance departments by sourcing and purchasing the right machine components, tooling, and technical supplies on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Source, evaluate, and purchase mechanical, electrical, and industrial parts for CNC machines, fabrication equipment, and support systems.

Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to identify correct part specifications and urgent needs.

Develop and manage relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers.

Monitor lead times, pricing trends, and inventory levels to avoid downtime and maintain efficiency.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and vendor performance.

Work within company ERP/MRP or CMMS systems to streamline procurement.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in industrial or technical purchasing (machinery, MRO, or tooling preferred)

Strong understanding of mechanical components and technical drawings is a plus

Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills

Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, manufacturing environmentCompany Description
