Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Welder Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in welding, fabrication, and assembly of custom automation systems and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, technical drawings, and various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. A commitment to precision, quality standards, and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications for custom automation projects.
Fabricate components using materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Execute MIG, TIG, and Stick welding operations with high precision.
Utilize plasma cutters, grinders, saws, torches, and other fabrication tools.
Assemble mechanical systems using welding, bolting, and riveting techniques.
Inspect components to ensure compliance with client specifications, tolerances, and quality assurance standards.
Follow all OSHA-compliant safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to meet project milestones.
Document progress, track material usage, and contribute to process improvements.
Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
Qualifications & Skills
Associate's degree or certification from a technical school, or equivalent hands-on experience (6+ months).
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
Hands-on experience with fabrication equipment including calipers, micrometers, and measuring tools.
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Competent in mathematical calculations and geometric measurements.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Possession of a Forklift Operator’s License is preferred.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Frequently required to lift up to 75 lbs, and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Regular physical activities: standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, twisting, and working in tight spaces.
Must have excellent vision capabilities, including depth perception and color recognition.
Work near moving machinery, with exposure to noise, dust, and potential electrical hazards.
Comfortable with repetitive tasks in hot, noisy, or confined environments.
