Working Supervisor – Production & Shipping

Location: Battle Creek

Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 3:15 PM

Occasional Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Pay: $20-$24 per hourPosition Summary:

seeking a reliable, hands-on Working Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations on our production lines and in our shipping and receiving area. This role combines leadership, organization, and physical work to ensure smooth operations, team performance, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a proactive team leader who thrives in a fast-paced, industrial environment.Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of 5–6 production staff.

Operate forklifts and other equipment to support material handling and production.

Monitor production lines to maintain continuous, efficient operation.

Enforce safety protocols and workplace standards at all times.

Oversee unloading, sorting, and documentation of inbound materials.

Ensure accurate shipping, receiving, and material tracking.

Sort recyclable materials to ensure correct customer payments.

Maintain facility organization and cleanliness.

Serve as the first point of leadership for daily operations and staff guidance.

Communicate production updates and material flow to management.

Conduct basic preventative maintenance and coordinate equipment or facility repairs (forklifts, dock doors, Bobcat, trailers, etc.).Qualifications:

Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.

Proficient in forklift operation.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Leads by example with a hands-on work ethic.

Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and OSHA regulations.

Clear communicator with basic computer proficiency.Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment throughout the shift.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Comfortable working in an active recycling facility environment.
