Application Developer (SAP ABAP)

Application Developer (SAP ABAP), IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY, and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US: Design, develop, configure, test and implement solutions to meet business requirements while adhering to development standards and methodologies. Develop code for SAP RICEFW in HANA Studio/Eclipse and SAP UI5 and Fiori application developments in Business Application Studio (BAS). Develop solutions interfacing RESTful web services (OData, JSON) and other data integrations like flat file over FTP, SQL database. Develop custom applications. Perform code reviews with peers and correct coding problems. Plan and execute unit tests. Partner closely with SAP Basis team and business analysts for implementations and troubleshooting. Participate in product roadmap and product strategy definition, engage with partners to identify, and validate requirements, and translate to technical designs. Deliver complex projects in a fast-paced, team environment. Adhere to SAP best practices and standards, maintain stable/scalable SAP environment. Support production system monitoring and resolve all issues and errors raised in the form of change requests and defects using ChaRM and JIRA. Utilize: SAP ECC - RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Reports and Workflow), ABAP-OOPS (Object Oriented Programming) and IDOC (Intermediate Document), Fiori, SAPUI5, oData Gateway. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related (employer will accept a bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Project Manager, Managing Consultant or related.
