Description:

The Claim Service Associate (CSA) is the primary contact person for new loss information and general claim inquiries by insureds and agents. The CSA coordinates classification and assigning of new losses reported to our claim office and establishes new loss claims in NetCore, confirming appropriate policy and coverage match for insureds. The CSA is responsible for handling all deposition only and licensing board proceeding files.

This position provides a contact for responding to all general calls/inquires received in claim department, as well as tracking and coordination of new losses and establishment of files in our legacy system. Further, the position independently manages deposition and licensing board proceeding matters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Respond to general claim questions/inquires.

Assess new loss notices for proper classification and handling.

Evaluate first notices of loss and follows up as needed for further information.

Determine policy information for losses.

Initiate creation of claim file in NetCore and refer to appropriate manager for finalizing file set up claim consultant assignment.

Maintain accurate and current database of claim assignments.

Manage deposition files when underlying matter does not involve Coverys insured.

Confirm coverage for licensing board proceeding matters.

Establish licensing board proceeding files and serve as a resource for insured in relation to these files.

Review and approve expense invoices for payment.

Identify and create incident files.

Work in conjunction with Risk Management in identifying trends in incidents and making appropriate referrals.

Correspond with insureds, agents and defense attorneys.

Education, Requirements & Competencies

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience with demonstrated knowledge of job requirements, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong attention to detail, time management and prioritization.

Strong communication and customer service focused skills.

The base salary range for this role is $59,058-$79,900. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications and education.
