Johnson Medical Services is a patient-focused primary care clinic located in Lake Worth, FL. We are dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to our diverse community. We are currently seeking an experienced Certified Professional Coder (CPC) to join our billing team. This is an in-person position with growth opportunities in a supportive, professional environment.

Position Summary:

The Medical Billing and Coding Specialist will be responsible for accurately coding medical services, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments. This role also involves handling insurance claims, resolving denials, and supporting the revenue cycle process to ensure accurate billing and timely reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for all patient services

Review provider documentation to ensure coding compliance

Submit claims to insurance payers (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans)

Follow up on unpaid claims, investigate denials, and submit appeals as needed

Verify patient insurance and eligibility when required

Communicate with providers for coding clarification and documentation improvement

Assist with payment posting, patient billing inquiries, and account resolutions

Maintain knowledge of payer policies, coding updates, and industry guidelines

Adhere to HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times

Requirements:

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) – REQUIRED

1–2 years of experience in medical billing and coding (primary care preferred)

Proficient in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding

Understanding of claim submission, EOBs, denials, and appeals

Experience with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Must be able to work on-site at our Lake Worth, FL office

Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred due to patient population
