Leidos is seeking a Splunk Analyst to be part of the mission to assess the management, operational, assurance, and technical security controls implemented on an information system via security testing and evaluation methods. The Splunk Analyst will provide daily support for Splunk infrastructure and work on optimizing existing deployments. This role involves analyzing system performance, data ingestion, and overall health of the Splunk environment to ensure efficient operations and effective data utilization. Join our high performing team, supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to meet the changing needs of the public, positively impacting at least 65 million American lives per month. We are a team of forward-looking professionals in need of a strong candidate with these key required skills In-depth knowledge of Splunk software, familiarity with Splunk's architecture and components and strong analytical skills .
Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days a week.

Provide daily support for Splunk infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
Analyze existing Splunk deployments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Manage data ingestion processes, indexing, and monitor search performance and storage utilization.
Conduct in-depth analysis and gather relevant metrics to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the Splunk environment.
Optimize search queries, data models, and indexing strategies to enhance search performance and reduce response times.
Fine-tune Splunk configurations and parameters to maximize resource utilization and minimize bottlenecks.
Analyze and document detailed reports summarizing findings from the Splunk review and optimization process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues and implement best practices for Splunk usage.
FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS ( Basic Qualifications )
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience, master's and 2 year of experience or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
Proven experience with Splunk administration, including data ingestion, indexing, and performance optimization.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess system performance and identify areas for improvement.

Pay Range: Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
