Who We Are
We are a large and growing emergency and specialty hospital located in beautiful Portland, Maine. Our facility is home to board-certified experts in Surgery, Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Cardiology, and Dermatology.

What You'll Do
As an Emergency & Critical Care Technician, you'll work directly with our ER doctors and support team to deliver excellent patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. Your ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and act as a patient advocate is key to our mission.
In this role, you will:
Provide triage and stabilize incoming patients
Administer IV, IM, SQ, and PO medications
Assist with diagnostics such as radiographs, bloodwork, and ECGs
Monitor patients in ICU or undergoing treatments/procedures
Manage fluid therapy and anesthesia monitoring as needed
Communicate effectively with doctors, teammates, and clients
Maintain detailed medical records and treatment sheets
Support patient admissions, discharges, and client education
Assist in emergency procedures and critical care support
Anticipated Schedule
This is a full-time position
Saturday/Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, final schedule to be discussed during interview process
Some holidays are required
Compensation
Starting at $28/hr, commensurate with experience

Licensed or certified Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT)
Previous emergency or critical care experience preferred, but not required
Strong communication and organizational skills
A calm, confident presence in high-pressure situations
