Bay Area Hospital, a 127-bed Level III Trauma center, is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to support Surgical Services and collaborate with physicians in delivering exceptional care. 2+ years of PA work experience is required (not including training). May be assigned to Ortho, General Surgery, Urology, or ENT. Provides needed procedures, including assisting in surgery. Performs procedures, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic procedures within the scope of practice. Assists in room setup and turnover. Performs other duties as assigned. Assists the operative team as directed by OR manager and charge nurses.

Basic computer skills, may require periodic use of a personal computer
Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges
Physical abilities required include:
Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stretching frequently and for prolonged periods
Physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected care needs
Adequate hearing and visual acuity, including color vision
Fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and the ability to grasp and handle objects
Proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair, or wheelchair
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Use of standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
Effective communication through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on the telephone

Board Certified
2 years of PA experience
OR License - Highly Preferred
CAQH login and password - required at time of offer
Site requires 4 hours of unpaid Epic training (Testing out is an option - 2 hours). OT and holidays are paid at 1.25x. Accurate documentation and compliance with continuing education requirements are expected.
