OVERVIEW
As a Loss Prevention Agent at Torrid’s Distribution Center, your primary responsibility is to protect the facility, its people, and company assets. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a high level of professionalism, and demonstrates strong investigative and communication skills.
You will play a critical role in reducing risk and supporting operational integrity through policy enforcement, surveillance, and incident response—all while embodying Torrid’s values and promoting a culture of safety and trust.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Monitor and protect the DC facility through proactive patrols, camera surveillance, and access control.
Conduct thorough daily inspections of the building, including physical security checks, door integrity, and asset protection standards.
Lead or assist in investigations related to theft, policy violations, or safety concerns, maintaining strict confidentiality and documentation practices.
Execute accurate audits related to merchandise, shipping/receiving discrepancies, and physical inventory counts.
Enforce bag check, visitor sign-in, and non-compliance procedures consistently and professionally.
Maintain a strong, visible presence at DC access points, offering a professional and welcoming experience for visitors, vendors, and associates.
Document trailers as they enter the property, including photos and logging.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with DC leadership and associates regarding risks, findings, or incidents.
Support and monitor adherence to all LP and safety-related protocols, escalating concerns as needed.
Assist with the operation and maintenance of access control systems and security technologies.
Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and safety throughout the facility.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
High School Diploma or GED required, relevant certifications a plus.
Minimum 2 years of Loss Prevention, Security, or investigative experience—preferably in a distribution, warehouse, or retail environment.
Strong observational and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess behavior and identify red flags.
Proven ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage confidently with all levels of leadership.
Ability to work independently, follow protocol, and remain calm under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning security and audit software systems.
