Overview:
Seeking a hands-on Video Systems Engineer / SME to lead enterprise video conferencing design, implementation, and support for this government agency - Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) team. This is a highly technical role supporting video modernization efforts across hundreds of conference rooms.
Top Responsibilities:
Architect and implement enterprise video services (MS Teams, Cisco, vBrick, Webex, etc.)
Design and standardize A/V conference rooms (Cisco Room Kits, matrix/distribution systems)
Provide Tier III support and troubleshoot video/VoIP issues (e.g., call drops, codec mismatches)
Document processes and support lifecycle management of UC/video systems
Collaborate across internal teams and end-users to deliver seamless solutions
Must-Have Skills:
Expertise in MS Teams Meetings, Cisco VCS/TMS, eCDN platforms (vBrick, Microsoft eCDN)
Deep knowledge of video protocols: SIP, RTMP, H.264/H.265, HDMI resolutions, audio/video codecs
Hands-on experience with Cisco Room Kits, video matrix/distribution, digital signage
Strong troubleshooting of VoIP/video issues (dead air, call drops, etc.)
Ability to work onsite in Bethesda 3x/week + on-call support when needed
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Preferred Certifications:
Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Admin or Collaboration Comms Engineer
CCNP Collaboration
