We are seeking a Systems Architect Engineer to support the Fuzing and Warheads engineering organization. The successful candidate will lead FPGA architecture and design initiatives in a high-tech, fast-paced military systems environment.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in FPGA design, digital signal processing, and system architecture.

Lead small digital design teams (3–4 engineers).

Perform FPGA design, simulation, and implementation using Xilinx and Altera devices.

Review and improve peer and junior engineer designs.

Define test plans, methods, and conduct lab testing using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and debugging tools.

Generate architecture specs, interface control documents, and perform hardware/software integration.

Ensure adherence to military safety/reliability design requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 12+ years of experience, Master’s with 10+, or PhD with 8+.

Experience with FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog.

Proficiency with simulation tools, timing constraints, and verification.

Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).

Strong documentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with protocols: I2C, SPI, RS-232, JESD204B, CSI/MIPI.

VHDL preferred; experience with Modelsim, Vivado, Quartus, Simulink, MATLAB.

Digital Signal Processing implementations.

IP creation/integration, full FPGA lifecycle experience.

Familiar with military testing standards (e.g., thermal extremes).

Active DoD Secret clearance preferred.
