Shipping and Receiving Helper

Description:

Assist the Shipping and Receiving Department by preparing pallets ready to be shipped or placed into warehouse.

Banding pallets by hand or use of an automatic banding tool.

Operating stretch wrap machine.

Use of hand tools.

Loading and unloading trucks with the use of Powered Pallet Jack and or a Forklift truck.

Stack and un-stack boxes.

Cleaning/sweeping.

Must wear PPE as required or needed.

Any other appropriate work assignments as required by Manager.Requirements:

The ability to pick up or place cartons/boxes on to a pallet or off a pallet as needed.

Successfully and certifiable ability to operate a Forklift Truck and or Power Pallet Jack.

Capable of working with others as part of a work team.

Experience:

This is an entry level position

Warehouse experience helpful

Prior certifiable Forklift experience preferred.

Special Requirements:

Flexibility: Must be available to work overtime as needed.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for the entire shift.

Equipment Operation: Must be certified by Accord Carton to operate a Forklift truck and/or Power Pallet Jack.
