Acutronic is looking for a Mechanical Designer I to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for producing elegant, easily assembled, cost-effective Acutronic products, while maintaining a project schedule. Our ideal candidate will have a desire to learn and serve quick. This position offers an opportunity for hands-on work with advanced technology in a collaborative environment.
Mechanical Designer I
Your Roles/Responsibilities:
Design simple electro-mechanical systems and components utilizing 3D modeling
Generate manufacturing and assembly drawings using computer aided drafting (CAD) software
Work with drawings created in 3rd and 1st angle projection
Create 3D model parts from supplier data sheets and drawings when one is not available
Generate parts lists in ERP system
Communicate with other disciplines to determine additional design requirements
Generate 2D or 3D images from CAD for design review documents
Create engineering document releases for purchasing and manufacturing
Revise manufacturing and assembly drawings after release
Process concise Engineering Change Order (ECO) documents
Mark-up (redline) drawings for manufacturing
Process all marked-up changes to drawings and 3D models
Finalize ECO documentation
Work with project management and supervisors to maintain budget and schedule
Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:
Associates Degree in Mechanical Design from an accredited college or university, preferred
Experience using 3D modeling
A combination of education and skills may be considered
