Salesforce Engineer

Position Summary:

The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support public sector clients. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, Apex programming, and Lightning components, with a focus on delivering scalable and secure applications that meet government standards and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).

Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs and middleware tools.

Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.

Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Conduct unit testing, peer code reviews, and support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and accessibility standards (e.g., FedRAMP, Section 508).

Maintain documentation for code, configurations, and system processes.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

3+ years of experience in Salesforce development.

Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce.

Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.

Familiarity with Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (Developer II preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) or Government Cloud.

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Copado.

Understanding of data security and compliance in the public sector.
