Job Summary
It is the job of the Technical Associate I to meet or exceed Kreher quality standards by assisting the technical team under direct supervision in basic construction and maintenance activities, and in performing the duties relative to the installation, repair and troubleshooting of electrical/electronic equipment. The Technical Associate I is working to learn how best to fix, install and maintain electrical components at Sunrise Farm. The Technical Associate I is working to develop their technical skills, and provide assistance to their local technical team.
Job Description
The main objective of the Technical Associate I’s work is to:
Learn the activities of the Technical Team within basic construction and maintenance activities.
Understand role in servicing the customer through efficiency and quality in installing and repairing electrical components.
Continually work to develop knowledge of fixing, installing and maintaining electrical components on the egg farm.
Work under direct supervision in assisting and learning the electrical installation, repair and preventive maintenance of production equipment.
Get to know mechanical and plumbing systems as they relate to electrical / electronic components.
Complete work orders following proper Egg Farm standards to include dates, times, thorough explanations, people involved, problem resolution, etc., and submit to technical manager.
Look for opportunities to eliminate re-work, waste, etc., and inform management of potential hazards.
Continuously learn and apply new methods and technologies.
Maintain shop area and equipment used for repairs.
Show flexibility; cross train within the electrical department, move to different areas, etc. as needed.
Look for opportunities to improve safety, prevent accidents, and help make the egg farm a safe place to work.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
A Technical Associate I must have the foundational knowledge and aptitude be able to work with others on the technical team in learning to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Able to wire up, trouble shoot and rebuild 3 phase electric motors.
Able to wire up a single-phase electric motor.
Able to identify and replace most components on
motor power circuits
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
programmable logic controller (PLC)
electrical power circuits and electrical control circuits

Modbus and Modbus Plus

Able to perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on boilers and hot water systems.

Will be required to work overtime as needed.

The physical work environment is an agricultural farm environment with attendant noise level. However, the employee will often be exposed to:
